LV CRMO Challenge
7v7 Lacrosse Tournament
October 26, 2019
Location: TBA
Fee: $30/Player

"I am still blown away by how big the Las Vegas lacrosse community showed up in 2019 to support Jessa and the Hartzer family! Handing the Harzter family a check for over $3000 to help cover medical expenses for Jessa was by far the most rewarding moment of my career. With more teams joining the tournament this year from California and other neighboring states, I'm confident we will be able to reach our goal of $5,000 in donations to Jessa, Seattle Children's Hospital and the Vegas Cares About Rare 5K!"

The REBEL Way Founder

In December 2017, The REBEL Way adopted their first honorary teammate, 6-year-old (at the time) Jessa Hartzer. Jessa has Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO). This is a rare (1:1,000,000) autoimmune-related disease with signs and symptoms that include recurrent episodes of pain and joint swelling, with or without fever.

Due to the rarity of her disease, Jessa has to fly to Seattle multiple times each year in order to undergo experimental treatment as well as pain management physical therapy so she can learn to live with chronic pain.

Last year, the Hartzer family introduced us to an amazing event called Vegas Cares About Rare 5K. This event is organized by the Little Miss Hannah Foundation. Since 2012 this community fundraising event has helped raise more than $100,000 to support their mission to help "enhance the quality of life for young, children diagnosed with life-limiting rare diseases, undiagnosed complex medical needs, and children who have been placed in hospice or palliative care in Southern Nevada." The REBEL Way is excited to announce that part of the proceeds raised from The Las Vegas CRMO Challenge will be given to help sponsor this event, in addition to the Hartzer family and Seattle Children's Hospital, CRMO Unit headed by Dr. Zhao.
